Best Bars To Visit on St. Patricks Day

    fountain

Yes, we heard the “festivities” were canceled. However, we felt inclined to share with you our favorite bars to stop by on Savannah’s favorite holiday!

    Rusty Rudders Tap House:

Beer as cold as your ex’s heart, that’s what you’ll find behind the bar at Rudders! A loud, and rowdy crowd is who you can expect to find this River Street bar. Live music, pool tables, and way too many drinks to count…this is where you want to find yourself on St. Patrick’s Day! If you’re looking for a party, this is the place for you. They’ve got 21 different brews on draft, Jello shots, and SCARY amounts of Jameson!!

Pro Tip: Order a dead turtle shot. (Trust us, we’re locals!)

    McDonough’s Restaurant & Lounge:

You Can’t celebrate St Pats without going to the best Irish Pub in town! This local bar has been voted Savannah’s best karaoke bar 8 years in a row! McDonough’s is open from 8 am – 3 am. When do they sleep? They don’t! They continually pour good drinks and serve up good food! If you really want to live like a local, McDonough’s is where you’ll end up at 1 am after everyone else has gone home. Who knows maybe you’ll end up singing a Whitney Houston song…or 12. “To all the days here and after, may they be filled with fond memories, happiness, and laughter.” – Irish Toast

Starland Yard & Two Tides Brewing:

These two gems are located in the Starland District of Savannah. Not far from downtown, the Starland District is perfect if you looking to get away from the festivities of River Street. Two Tides Brewery and Starland yard are located right next to each other, you could say they’re pretty good friends!

Two Tides Taproom is located in an old house and is quite the scene. Filled with local art, free pinball, and loaded with hand-crafted beer, Two Tides is the perfect place to hang out on St Patrick’s Day!

Starland Yard has branded itself as “Savannah’s Backyard” and it’s so true. The Yard offers a variety of food trucks each week, is home to Vittoria Pizzeria, and is dog friendly. To be honest, that’s enough said…pizza + food trucks + Dogs? Sold. But seriously, this family-friendly “backyard” is perfect for groups looking to kick back and enjoy a variety of food and drinks!

Pro Tip: The Yard Bar is where you can find the perfect selection of beer, wine, cocktails, and frozen drinks for all your St. Pats cravings!
